SXSW 2013

SXSW is here already!! If you've been following us on Facebook or Twitter you know that we have some exciting shows this year. First up is an annual favorite, Girls Rock! Both Zoe and I are alumni of the summer camp and being able to play in front of our old counselors, and upcoming campers is always fun. This year it's at Cherrywood Coffeehouse again, and it's one of our favorite venues to play. Later that day, I will be sitting on a panel for the newest event during spring break called The Neighborhood. The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The Statesman, and Culture Map have been constantly writing about Joah Spearman, the founder of The Neighborhood (and many other cool things). I've been asked to speak about my personal style and how it interacts with my music. Cool. Last stop on Wed is The Whip In. On our list of top venues to play in Austin, The Whip In is definitely in the top 3! This year a beer company is sponsoring each day and even though we don't (ok, can't) drink it's going to be a great place to hang out next week.

Wed roundup looks like this: 1:50pm Girls Rock!, 4pm The Neighborhood panel, 8pm The Whip In.

Thursday is my 15th birthday and we have a huge event planned for March 29th so stay tuned for that information.

We're closing SXSW this year at BYOC. Yet another festival favorite of ours and we've been going since we moved back to Austin. It's so family friendly, and even though it stands for "Bring Your Own Chair" you'll want to bring a blanket, an umbrella, some snacks (even though there will be great food) and stay the whole day. We're opening up this show, and we're honored.
